Frequently asked questions
How much does a mobile surveillance trailer cost?
It depends on whether you rent, lease, or buy, how many cameras the site needs, and whether you want live monitoring. We price each site after a free assessment and send rental, lease, and purchase options side by side so you can compare.
Can I rent a surveillance trailer instead of buying one?
Yes. Renting works well for a construction phase or a seasonal event. If you need coverage long term, leasing or buying usually costs less over time.
Do I need power or internet at the site?
No. The trailer runs on solar panels and a battery bank and sends video over its own cellular connection. Nothing has to be plugged in or wired.
How is the trailer monitored?
Our agents watch the cameras live. When an alert comes in, they can issue a talkdown, notify your team, or dispatch police once the threat is verified. You can also view live and recorded video from your phone at any time.
Is a surveillance trailer cheaper than a security guard?
Usually. A trailer covers the site with several cameras and a monitoring team behind it, without paying hourly wages or covering missed shifts. It’s common to use one to replace overnight guard shifts or to cover the parts of a site a single guard can’t see.
How quickly can a trailer be deployed?
Setup is fast because there’s no trenching or utility work. Once the trailer is parked and the mast is up, the cameras connect within minutes. Lead time depends on availability, so it helps to book the assessment early.
What happens on cloudy days, at night, or in winter?
The battery bank carries the system overnight and through stretches of low sun. We size the panels and batteries for your location and the time of year, so the system is built for the weather it will actually see.
What stops someone from stealing or vandalizing the trailer?
Anyone who walks up to it is on its own cameras. On a monitored trailer, an agent sees them, can warn them off through the speaker, and can call police. Either way, you’ll have the video.
Can it read license plates at night?
Yes. The LPR cameras are built for low light and capture plates on vehicles coming and going, so you can search later by a full or partial plate.
Can I use the footage for police reports and insurance claims?
You can. Video is stored in an encrypted cloud platform, and you can export clips from your phone or computer to send to police or your insurer.
Can I move the trailer between job sites?
That’s what it’s built for. We can relocate a trailer as your project moves from phase to phase or to a different property. If you own it, you can redeploy it across your sites whenever you like.
